Noch um zwei Klassen über einem reinen Surface Tisch steht dann natürlich noch Reactable. Was sich die Forscher der Pompeu Fabra University da ausgedacht haben ist einfach fantastisch.
Quasi ein Surface Tisch zum Musik machen. Synthesizer mit Eye Candy, sozusagen.
Ok, damit steht mein nächstes Großprojekt fest. Da Microsoft sein Surface ja nicht für private Haushalte rausrückt und sonst auch vermutlich richtig viel Geld haben wollen würde, baut man sich sowas am besten einfach selbst.

Diemsal in Deutsch aus Faulheit und damit ich die Sprache nicht komplett verlerne .. 
Grade habe ich meinen nene PC bestellt und mich im Zuge dessen auch auf die Suche nach einer Lösung für mein Festplatten Problem begeben. Zur Zeit arbeiten nämlich gleich vier Samsung Platten in meinem Rechner.
Ein Lautstärken- und Strom-Problem also. Daher wäre die Ideale Lösung für mich ein externes Gehäuse, dass ich per eSata/Firewire/USB oder LAN anschliessen und bei Bedarf einschalten kann. Man könnte jetzt natürlich zum nächstbesten 08/15 Festplattengehäuse greifen – davon habe ich aber schon zwei, die bald auch einmal aussortiert werden müssen, weil die enthaltenen Festplatten sicherlich bald den Geist aufgeben werden (eine IDE Version der Spinpoint und eine alte .. uhm .. Seagate).
Nun, wie dem auch sei, interessante Lösungen sind zum Beispiel Bei RaidSonic zu finden, leider haben sie auch ihren Preis. So kostet die ICY Dock MB-561US-4S für 4 SATA Platten dann auch Stolze 240€. Viel Geld, um ein paar alte Festplatten unterzubringen.
Andere Varianten kommen mir grade nicht in dein Sinn, daher bin ich für Vorschläge, wie mit mindestens zwei meiner aktuell verbauten Platten zu verfahren ist, überaus dankbar.

This, the first article, will give a brief overview of what I’m at and where I want to go. The next parts will then describe the other steps in preparation of the assembly plus the assembly itself, hopefully with some nice pictures.

Surface is defintily one of their cooler products featuring a table like computer that I for one would love to have in my living room. There are some cool videos of it on the homepage.
As heise and others report, AT&T will be using MS Surface in some of their stores for selling cell phones soon.
One can only wish that german phone companies will start using Surface soon, too, so I can finally get to hang around in such a store all day and play with that thing. Buying one myself might not be an option at a price of approximatly $5000 to $10000 each.
